Charlie Wilson, SWV, The Lox & Mario set to headline the 50th anniversary of Baltimore AFRAM

It’s about that time again! You already know the vibes, Summer doesn’t “really” start in Bmore until we’ve attended the Baltimore AFRAM happens, but I guess it’s on the horizon as the festival is a little over a month away.
AFRAM is one of the largest African-American, cultural arts fairs on the East Coast, and this years we’re celebrating 50 years of being unapologetically black. With this milestone celebration also comes with a bit of an upgrade. This year, the festival is moving from a two-day event, to a three-day extravaganza, taking place over the Juneteenth holiday, Friday June 19 – Sunday June 21 from 12:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m at the historic Druid Hill Park.
Festival organizers have revealed a fully stacked line up which is guaranteed to keep the party atmosphere going all weekend long. Headlining the festival will be Uncle Charlie Wilson, SWV, Mario and The Lox. Those names alone already give you a full stacked concert, but if that’s not enough to get you to come outside, there’s a little more for you. You’ll also have the pleasure of seeing Tamia, PJ Morton, Normani, Chlöe Bailey, LIl Mo, Ultra Naté, Brandon Woody, J Brown and Paula Campbell grace the stage.
“For 50 years, AFRAM has been a homecoming, an economic engine for our local businesses and artists, and most importantly: a celebration of Black excellence,” said Mayor Brandon M. Scott. “This Juneteenth weekend, as we celebrate five decades of culture, community, music, and art right here in Baltimore, we want folks across Charm City – and beyond! – to come out and celebrate with us.”
This year’s festival will also feature an expanded Health & Wellness Village, committed to improving the overall well-being of Baltimore residents. In addition, the City is proud to announce the return of the Run-Up-To Juneteenth 5K Run and 1 Mile Walk in partnership with the SEED School of Maryland, encouraging residents to come together in celebration, reflection, and community spirit leading into the Juneteenth weekend festivities.
Last year’s AFRAM 2025 welcomed 118 vendors, which generated significant economic activity for Baltimore’s small businesses and entrepreneurs, cementing the festival’s impact and imprint on the local community’s economy.
Attendees are encouraged to follow AFRAM on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook for real-time updates and visit aframbaltimore.com for more details.
