Pic Playback: Kiefer Sutherland Turns Okie Street Into “Bloor Street”

Famed international actor, Kiefer Sutherland is probably best known for his role as Jack Bauer in the critically acclaimed hit TV show “24“, but the role that he played Monday, March 14 at the City Winery in Washington, D.C. is probably his biggest role to date…playing as himself! Crossing over from one arena in entertainment to another is a feat that many Hollywood stars have attempted, but unfortunately have failed to successfully pin down. Kiefer made it work out for him when the folk-tinged, Americana-styled music that he curating allowed him to release 3 studio albums, with one being ranked #1 on the charts in the UK.
His current run of tour dates is in support of his latest album titled “Bloor Street“, and is being billed as an intimate night of acoustic music. Crafted with meticulous attention to detail, the “intimate” theme also played over into the stage set design, whereas it felt like we were being welcomed into an old friend’s living room, and hearing him play as he sat in his rocking chair. This isn’t a jaunt that he’s necessarily mounting alone, as he’s invited Marc Copely & Rocco DeLuca to breath further life into his music. A few of the songs that he included in his setlist were “This Ole’ Life“, “Going Home“, “Two Stepping In Time“, “So Full of Love” and “Reckless & Me“, which the audience all seemed to feel the full essence of, but it was his current single “Chasing The Rain” that caused the toes tapping and finger snapping to create its own beat.
