Pic Playback: Aminé’s “The Best Tour Ever” lived up to its name at the DMV tour stop

“You’re beautiful” is the resounding motto that Aminé wanted everyone to take away from “The Best Tour Ever”. During the March 2 tour stop in Silver Spring, Maryland at the Fillmore, in between sets he would have the crowd chant “I Know” every time he told them “You’re Beautiful”. Throughout his entire show, his energy was through the roof as he ran back and forth across the stage, fully engaging his legion of followers.

The Oregon native brought out new and rising star Cochise, along with another new and exciting artist 454. The two opening acts both had the crowd out of their seats and on their feet with electrifying performances. For those who may have been unfamiliar with the name Cochise, he took the opportunity to let them know exactly who he was when he performed one of his notable and popular songs, “ HatchBack” along with another very well known song of his called “Tell Em” Featuring $NOT.

Aminé on the other hand, didn’t have to do too much to warm up the crowd, as it was evident that he was the ultimate star of the night and that everyone was there to see him. His setlist was comprised of material from his entire catalog, performing a few new songs such as “Charmander” and “Neo”, along with a couple older songs like “Blinds” and “Blackjack”, just to name a few. The sold out Fillmore was packed with die hard fans who showed nothing but love. During Aminé’s set, you could look around you and see each die hard rapping every word bar for bar, which played a huge part by helping keep the pace of the show along with the phenomenal music that we were being treated to.

One major detail about the show was the stage setup as you see in the pictures below. Each piece of the set held a very dear place in Aminé’s heart as these props reminded him of his upbringing and continue to keep him humble while traveling the world. The corner store is very nostalgic to him because it was where he use to get, in his words, “ the best chicken sandwiches for $8”, along with the bridge that he used to cross everyday on his way to class when he was in college. There was also a big replica of his dog on stage which the crowd couldn’t get enough of.
By the end of the night, everyone left feeling like family, and Aminé was our big brother leading the pack. These artists put on a phenomenal show, so we suggest that you go see them while the jaunt continues on in North America until March 22. If you don’t get to see them before then, that’s all good, because you’ll have a couple of months to get your ducks in a row and catch them across the pond at their first international show in Birmingham, England on September 9. We don’t know about you, but we strongly believe that “The Best Tour Ever” lived up to the name.
