We see you Cincy Music Fest!!
In an announcement made earlier today, the Cincinnati Music Fest has officially thrown their names in the hats as a contender for one of the top urban music festivals of the summer. After shutting down operations in 2020 due to COVID-19, and then talks about going virtual that never panned out, fans of the event were getting a little antsy about what was going on, since the last announced bill was stacked…but fast forward over 2 years later, and here we are.
The festival is set to take place for three days, starting Thursday, July 21 through Saturday, July 23 at the Paul Brown Stadium in Cincinnati, OH. Picking up where they left off, the organizers have tapped The Blueprint of female music entertainment and hot off of her Lifetime documentary, Ms. Janet Jackson as one of the star headliners, along with Uncle Charlie Wilson. Other performers set to take the stage will be BJ The Chicago Kid, Anthony Hamilton, Tony! Toni! Tone!, The O’Jays, Tank, After 7, Jonathan Butler, and Kirk Whalum, with more to be announced.
“We are excited to be back, bringing the best acts back to Cincinnati for the 2022 Cincinnati Music Festival presented by P&G,” said festival producer Joe Santangelo in a release. “We will abide by any federal, local and state health guidelines that might be in place at that time, as our priority is to keep everyone safe. We will release more information as we get closer to the dates.”
Tickets for the 2022 Cincinnati Music Festival are on sale now through ticketmaster.com or by contacting the festival office at 513-924-0900.
