Pic Playback: Miki Howard Live at the Washington, D.C. City Winery

For the folks who were tired of running around all weekend dealing with the typical Black Friday/Holiday bonanza, they had the pleasure of sitting down for a nice dinner and show combination at the Washington, D.C. City Winery, where they were treated to the smooth sounds of Ms. Miki Howard on Saturday, November 27.

Backed by a 5 piece band that sounded more like a full orchestra, we were served a feast full of soulful renditions of her hit records, which included “Baby Be Mine“, “Ain’t Nothin’ In The World”, “Love Under New Management”, and “Come Share My Love” just to name a few.

Granted she had to work double time as there were TWO sold out shows for her to perform in one night, that didn’t take away from the fact that she still gave it her all and left every ounce on the stage, ensuring that the audience got exactly what they came for. She’s still currently on tour, so if you’re a fan and she’s in a city near you, do yourself a favor and cop some tickets.
