It seems like the Washington Wizards are doing it back to back! Last year we were treated to the introduction of the free Friday Night Concert Series, which by the looks of it, was executed extremely well with over 50,000 fans in attendance for the games that featured the post-game performances.
Once again, the NBA franchise has partnered with major headphone brand Monster to curate what will be another fantastic lineup of talented artists to top off what we hope will be multiple wins for the Wizards.
The first of the advertised shows takes place on December 1st, when it will be a time for all of DC to stand up, as Go-Go music will be at the forefront. Experience Unlimited (E.U.) , Junkyard Band, and DJ Kool will kick off the concert series.
Other acts throughout the months will be:
Jan 12. – Doug E. Fresh, Slick Rick, Big Daddy Kane, Kool Moe Dee and DJ Quick Silva
Mar. 2 – Carl Thomas, 112, local artist Alex Jay and the legendary DJ Biz Markie
Again, these shows are totally free, but only with the purchase of a game ticket for that night’s Wizards game. For ticket information call 202-661-5050 or visit www.washingtonwizards.com/concertseries.
Take a peek at one of the performances from last year’s Friday Night Concert Series, when Bell Biv DeVoe had the audience going wild to their hit song “Do Me”.
