With a bubbly and welcoming personality that reached every concert attendee, Noah Cyrus appeared on the large stage at the Capitol One Arena here in Washington DC. With her band on each side, they were ready to live their dreams out as they had the honor and privilege of opening up for the World Wide Katy Perry: “Witness The Tour” experience.
In her signature two piece slacked pants and half top outfit, she hit the stage with high energy, this time rocking a black sequence and red tennis shoe combination.
Just to hear her voice is to be wowed that she is only 17. So, with a sultry tone, a soprano range, an angelic face and the relatable vibe to all the millenials, Noah is a great addition to the music industry. Bringing a pop presence mixed with soulful musical accents, there is a lot to look forward to from this young lady.
Noah Cyrus is currently promoting her soon to be released debut album entitled NC-17 and yes, it seems to be formatting reminiscent of a PG-13 movie rating stamp. However, I believe she is making the statement of individuality as the letters NC are her initials and 17 represents her age and the year this accomplishment of hers will be released in. Signed under Syco Records, Simon Cowell’s record label, it is bound to be a major success.
Yes, she has the wonderful blessing of being a Cyrus but she has created her own lane and she is heavily thriving in her career already. Every one of her songs have been hits with her already enormous fan base. There are thought provoking music videos and most of these are strongly in the millions when it comes to views. Noah has over 500 million music streams and has already graced many prominent stages. To top that, she was nominated for the 2017 MTV Best New Artist Award. Just to have that level of recognition is amazing in general for a new artist and to then become the opening act for Katy Perry, just marvelous.
As Noah performed her set, she began with “Stay Together” and then went into “I’m Stuck” which is one of my favorite songs of hers. Next, she effortlessly sang a cover of “Million Reasons” by Lady Gaga, which was so beautiful. As she was nearing the end, she had to make sure she hit the audience with her most recently released single “Again”. Last, she performed the song that has more than 98 million views alone on YouTube entitled: “Make Me Cry”. This song and video are very well done and features the very talented producer Labrinth as the male vocalist she duets with. Because he was not there for this tour date, Noah Cyrus graciously honored him visually on the big centered digital screen behind her, which at different points throughout the performance of this song, she walked up to the display as he was shown.
Noah is fresh with a beautiful future ahead of her. She has everything she needs to succeed and we here at Concert Daily really wish her all the success and happiness she can consume. Everyone take the time to check her out and get into her music. It is just perfect to know that she is doing what she loves with Katy Perry, who she would religiously blast in the car as she was learning to drive. So, “Roar” that special talent at every tour stop Noah, because your dreams have come full circle.
