The folks over at Adam Torres Concerts did it again, yet another SOLD OUT concert in their home market of New York City. 2017’s Soulfrito Urban Latin Music Festival took place on Friday June 9th at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center, and couldn’t have come at a more perfect time. Serving as the unofficial kickoff to the National Puerto Rican Day Parade weekend in NYC, Soulfrito stretched the boundaries of what many would consider “the norm”, buy fusing two totally different music genres into one action packed show.
This year’s festival was the first of it’s kind in the Big Apple as the worlds of new wave urban rappers and Latin trap Reggaetoneros collided when Farruko, Zion y Lennox, Fetty Wap, Cosculluela, Young M.A, French Montana, Fat Joe and a host of others took the stage to bring good vibes to those New Yorkers far and wide that came out to celebrate. The crowd never had time to recoup or take a chill as each act brought fire to the stage back to back.
What a time to be alive and celebrate being a Nuyorican and latino culture. Whether by birth, admiration, or association, everyone in the arena was all “la familia” that night.
As always, Concert Daily makes its way on the scene to bring YOU closer to the show, so check out our gallery of photos taken by our own G. Arturo Holmes.
