Kung Fu High Chops Baltimore’s 8×10 For The Fez Tour
Kung Fu is coming into Spring 2017 hot with a huge national tour titled “The Fez Tour”. This will be a 2 set experience that involves one set of original music and one set of material from the cult phenomenon, Steely Dan.
If you are unfamiliar with who Kung Fu, they are a quintet who are quickly popularizing their unique sonic contribution, blurring the line between intense electro-fusion, and blistering dance arrangements. Making fusion music “cool” again, the band draws on influences such as early Headhunters and Weather Report, and merges those ideas with a contemporary EDM informed sensibility.
Thursday, May 11th sees the group land a headlining gig in Baltimore, Maryland at the quaint 8×10 live music club. Joining them on this gig will be Squaring The Circle, a local Baltimore band that are an organic original Jazz, Blues, and Funk quartet with a taste for the experimental jam.
