For the past four years, the Broccoli City Festival (originally founded on the laurels of promoting Earth Day) has become a prominent music festival not just here in the DMV, but nationwide. Each year, the organizers set out to make the scale of the event larger than the years prior, and 2017 totally seems to be no different.
In what was just put out as the “official announcement” for this years show, we no longer have to wait for a list of headlining performances. Set for the date of May 6, 2017 at the usual location of Gateway DC, the BCFestival will feature Rae Sremmurd, Solange, 21 Savage, Alunageorge, and Lil Yachty as their main headliners, but will include performances by a few up and coming acts as well.
What’s usually tapped as a one day gig, this whole entire movement has been extended to a full week of activities to precede the show, to include the Broccoli Conference, BC 5k run & fitness, volunteer events and much more, all culminating with the festival on Saturday.
If you’re interested in snagging tickets, we would suggest that you take part in the presale, which takes place January 25th at 10 AM, BUT you’ll need to follow the official BCF IG page for the code, that will be released at 8 PM tonight. If you don’t feel like doing the presale, regular tickets hit the market on Friday, January 27th at 10 AM. Ticket prices will range from $69 for general admission to $395 for a week long pass.
