2016 New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Fest Lineup Announced

neworleans_jazzfest_header_2016

From the very beginning, the New Orleans Jazz Festival was envisioned as an important event that would have great cultural significance and popular appeal. The festival was the culmination of years of discussions and efforts by city leaders who wanted to create an event worthy of the city’s legacy as the birthplace of jazz.

Each year since it’s inception, we’ve seen more mainstream acts incorporated into the mix of things, not to take away from the jazz-centric feel, but to grab the attention of those who ordinarily wouldn’t listen to a jazz record, much less go to a full on event.

This year’s event is set for April 22 – May 1, during the Heritage Fair, which takes place at the Fair Grounds Race Course. The lineup this year is impressive as ever as Stevie Wonder, Maxwell, Janelle Monae, J.Cole, Lauryn Hill, Paul Simon, Snoop Dogg, Red Hot Chili Peppers and MUCH more take the stage during the 2 week period.

Tickets and VIP packages are available now via the N.O. Jazz Fest’s website and start at $65. Check out the full and extensive lineup below.
