Sorry to all of the Janet Jackson fans that were eagerly waiting to see her on tour next year. The holiday season is full of surprises and gifts, but this is surely a gift that Janet did not want nor expect.
Just moments ago, the pop icon announced via her Twitter page that she just received word from her doctors that she would need to go under the knife for surgery very soon. She didn’t specify any particular type of surgery, but it’s no secret to anyone that she has cancelled a number of shows on the first leg of the Unbreakable Tour due to vocal issues.
With this news, the tour has now been pushed back until Spring 2016 with no tentative start date, when then second leg of the tour was originally set to start on January 9th in Denver, CO. For all of the people who already purchased tickets for her tour, she wants all of you keep your tickets because there may be something in store for you, which was eluded in this quote from her twitter, “Please hold on to your tickets. They will be honored in a special way when the new schedule is announced.”
We’re sorry to hear that this is happening and pray for the best, because we were excited to see the tour. Stay tuned to Concert Daily as we will try to keep you updated with any more information that may come from Team Janet or Rhythm Nation Records regarding this matter.
